Insecticidal activity of fermented Calatropis gigantea L and Crescentea cujete L. extract combination against rice pests and natural enemies

Abstract Farmer’s use of synthetic pesticides on rice is still high and therefore needs to be reduced. The study aims examine the insecticidal activity fermented C. gigantea cujete extract mixture against pests natural enemies its impact production. extracts was applied crop eight times with concentrations 1%, 2.5%, 4.0% 5.5% 7.5%. results showed that all significantly reduced S. Innotata medinalis population their damage intensity compared farmers’ treatment. However, these did not adversely affect enemies, like Coccinellidae, Aranea, Zygoptera Paederinae families, tended increase Therefore, data application two-extract combinations effective in controlling without any enemies.
